Eggscellent News: Whataburger’s Full Breakfast Menu with Eggs Returns with 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. Service
SAN ANTONIO - June 19, 2015 - Starting at 11 p.m. tonight,

will begin serving its full breakfast menu during normal breakfast hours from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m., including all menu items with eggs.
Earlier this month, Whataburger announced the company had been affected by the national egg shortage caused by a recent outbreak of avian influenza. Due to the shortage, the company had to limit the hours it served menu items with eggs.
After securing additional egg supply, Whataburger is no longer experiencing an egg shortage.
While Whataburger was originally made famous by our burgers, our customers really love our breakfast menu including those menu items made with eggs. We know its been a tough couple of weeks for our customers, but were really grateful for their support while we worked to build up our egg supply, said Whataburger Chief Operating Officer Dino Del Nano. All of us at Whataburger are so happy to get back to normal and serve our full breakfast menu to customers during our usual breakfast hours from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.

Howdy Xyl0c41n3 (what does your handle mean, anyway?). I found this older post of yours to reach out to you since Kinja doesn’t give us a way to send each other private messages. Feel free to delete this if you wish after our exchange or just straight away if you don’t care to have one.
The is about the one week timeout, in case you’re wondering. To begin, I’m glad you’re a member of our community. While there unfortunately aren’t enough women gear heads out there (yet) to even things out in the enthusiast ranks, and while we’re not perfect, I’m please at the direction Oppo has gone/is going in the realm of “inclusion,” not just for women but for Oppos of all stripes, colors and proclivities. As an aside, I think this all started on Jalopnik proper years ago (before the Great Wert Schism) with the communities acceptance of, and genuine affection for, a previous community member named Charles Barrett who is openly gay.
I mention Charles because the unquestioning acceptance of Charles (not that it should have been any other way) really set the bar for how we should all accept everyone who was into cars and could be just basically human in their exchanges with others. Prior to that, car forums/blogs on the Internet (as you might already know ... not sure how old you are) were bastions of douche-bros with little interest in interacting with anyone not just like them.
As the father of triplet 18 year-old girls, I totally get your passion. Raising these girls has forged me into a fairly militant feminist, myself. Since our son is only a year older, I have had to confront my own temptations to employ double standards while raising them; there was no way I could allow my son to do something and then not allow one of my daughters to do the same thing a year later. I can’t tell you how uncomfortable that simple truth has been for me on more than a few occasions.
So all that long-winded stuff is prelude to my reason for this message: Please be patient. I know there are still plenty of douche-bros that frequent Jalopnik and even Oppo. By and large, most of our community is on the right side of history vis-a-vis social justice. Not all of them may express themselves clearly enough to be obvious about it, though. Some of us can just kind of suck at that sometimes. For that reason, I’m asking you to be a little more patient. If you see a comment that makes your blood boil, be sure that the message as your understood it was what the writer intended. The majority of the time, your initial take is likely right but it can be damaging to the very cause you (and I) support if you take a message of support the wrong way and berate someone whose only real sin is not communicating clearly.
That’s it. I hope you understand that all this coming from a place of sincere support and not patrimony.

Y’all ask me and yamahog and other female oppos to be patient. What y’all don’t understand is that we HAVE been patient, we HAVE been tempering our words and our responses.
Do you think I leave replies without first examining exactly what it is I’m going to say and how I’m going to say it?
Did you guys similarly respond to the man (Kenny Blankenship) who was engaging in a deeply patronizing discussion with me? Did y’all ever address the user I emailed you about last week who wrote an entire ode objectifying a strange woman he saw in a fucking parking lot?

No I didn’t respond to Kenny at all because he was essentially saying the same thing, albeit without being very diplomatic about it. I’m also not familiar with him as a community member as much as I am with you. That said, if you’ve seen a history of d-baggery from him that I haven’t (totally possible ... I only have so much time per day to do this mod stuff), I’m happy to pay closer attention. I flat didn’t see the post you’re referring to which is, I think, normal since I feel like I’m lucky to read a quarter of the posts and comments on Oppo. Also, I’m afraid I don’t personally check the gmail inbox often enough as it is and last week in particular I was unusually busy at work. I’ll make the commitment to you to check it more often. If there is anything else that you send in that slips through the cracks, I’ll even give you my personal email as a back up.
Regarding the post at hand, I was honestly surprised by your response to gmporshenut because I took what he said as a jab at the NFL rather than any kind of dismissiveness about the state of DV prevention in/around the league. Unfortunately, you appeared to have kind of jumped down his throat first rather than seek to clarify what he meant by the comment. That’s the only thing I’m referring to in this case; it felt like you were taking pleasure in taking someone down who essentially agrees with you.
To be clear, I’m not asking you to in any way coddle or tolerate guys who are clearly being assholes. I welcome seeing smart women put stupid people with stupid ideas in their place and I’ve raised my girls to never shy away from doing the same. I’m just asking that you make sure you’re not the preacher condemning the choir, if you will.
